She survived her past. Now she just needs a future…. Meet Grand. She was named after the road she was found on…injured, with bite wounds and dried blood still on her. We don’t know everything she’s been through, but we know life hasn’t always been kind. But yet… Grand is nothing but gentle. She leans into every touch like it might be taken away. She loves her “wuvins,” soft treats, and quietly posing for photos like this — just hoping someone sees her. Grand is an older gal who doesn’t need much. A slower life. A warm couch. A soft place to land. No major hustle and bustle or running miles. She’s be pretty content sitting beside during cold winter nights and catching up on the latest series. Grand has been diagnosed with a low-grade mast cell tumor. It’s slow growing, and many dogs live long, comfortable lives with it. She feels good. She still loves deeply. But a shelter is no place for a dog ESPECIALLY one with cancer — to spend her golden years.Grand doesn’t want sympathy. She wants a home. She wants someone to tell her: “Your past doesn’t matter. You are safe now.”
