Euclid Pet Pals is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the Euclid Animal Shelter and helps ensure the highest level of care for the animals we serve. Founded in 2003 by dedicated Euclid residents and volunteers, the organization was built on a long-standing community tradition of compassion that dates back to the 1970s, when residents raised funds door to door to help establish the city’s original animal shelter.
Today, Euclid Pet Pals operates in close partnership with the Euclid Animal Shelter, providing vital funding and support for medical care, daily animal needs, and enrichment while animals await placement. The organization also assists with adoptions once animals have completed their stray hold, helping them transition into safe and loving homes. 100% of donations received by Euclid Pet Pals go directly toward the care of the animals at the shelter.
Many of the original volunteers continue to serve as board members and active supporters, ensuring the organization remains deeply connected to its founding mission of community service and animal welfare.
In 2024, the Euclid Animal Shelter was officially renamed the D. Fay Miller Animal Shelter, honoring one of the organization’s founding leaders whose decades of service and advocacy helped shape both the shelter and Euclid Pet Pals into what they are today.
Through this partnership, Euclid Pet Pals plays an essential role in helping the Euclid Animal Shelter provide compassionate care and create positive outcomes for every animal that comes through our doors.
